Working with Timesheets
When employees log on to EWS, they enter time into web-based timesheets using a time entry form displayed under the Actions menu in EWS. Depending on the EWS implementation at a company and employee ID settings specified in the HR Management module, employees may see one of the default time entry forms or a custom time entry form displayed under the menu.
EWS system administrators can specify a default timesheet entry form for all employees in the using tab and selecting a default timesheet from the appropriate drop-down list. System administrators can specify an Hourly Time Entry form, a Punch Clock Time Entry form, or Exempt Time Entry form as the default timesheet entry form for all employees. For more information about specifying a default timesheet for employees see System Configuration.
Human Resource staff can also specify a timesheet entry form for each employee using Employee Settings tab, selecting an employee, and then selecting a timesheet entry form to use form the drop-down list in the Timesheet Entry Form field. Human Resource staff can specify that they want to use the default timesheet entry form specified for all employees on the EWSSystem Settings>System Configuration tab, or they can specify an Hourly Time Entry form, a Punch Clock Time Entry form, or Exempt Time Entry form as the default timesheet entry form for all employees as the default timesheet entry form for the selected employee. For more information about specifying a timesheet entry form for a specific employee in the HR Management module, see the HR Management module online help.
