Leave Request
Access this page using Personal>Leave Request |
Use this page to submit leave requests to your manager and add the leave request to your Leave Request Schedule.
Note: This is for scheduling purposes only and will not be reflected on your timesheet. Once approved, you must enter your leave entry using Action>Leave Entry.
Procedures
Fields
Include Past Requests: Select this check box to show all leave requests not included in the current and future pay period, in the Leave Request Table.
Requested: The system displays the number of hours that have been requested with the status of Request.
Approved: The system displays the number of hours that have been approved by your manager.
Total Hours: The system displays the total hours of leave that have been requested.
Leave Calculation Table: The system displays the employee leave code balances.
- Leave Code: The system displays the leave codes entered on the employee’s timesheet.
- Beginning Balance: The system displays the beginning leave balance in hours.
- Current Activity: The system displays the leave entered on the employee’s timesheet for this pay period and is based on the Leave Code pay frequency.
- Current Balance: The system displays the current balance for each Leave Code. The system calculates the balance by adding the beginning balance and removing the current activity.
- Pay Period Accrual: The system displays the leave accrual amount for this pay period.
Note: The leave accrual rate that is applied to each pay period will depend on the leave code pay frequency. Leave Beginning Balance and Current Balance will include hours from timesheets that are in progress; however, the hours may not be accurate until payroll is finalized.
Leave Request Table: The system displays the following information.
- Start Date: The system displays the start date, entered on the leave request.
- End Date: The system displays the end date, entered on the leave request.
- Hours Requested: The system displays the hours of leave requested, entered on the leave request.
- Request Type: The system displays the request type, selected on the leave request.
- Approved: The system displays a check box. If the leave request has been approved, the box will display as checked.
- Approved/Rejected By: The system displays the name of the person who approved or rejected the leave request.
- Approved/Rejected Date: The system displays the date the leave requested was approved or rejected.
- Status: The system displays the status, selected on the leave request.
- Comments: The system displays the employee’s comments entered on the leave request.
- Manager Comments: The system displays the manager's comments.
Buttons
Add: Click this button to open the Add/Edit Leave Request page.
Edit: Select an existing leave request and click this button to open the Add/Edit Leave Request page and make changes to the leave request.
Delete: Select an existing leave request and click this button to delete the selected leave request. You will be asked to confirm the delete.
Calculate: Click this button to display the Leave Balance Calculator page and to calculate your leave balance. This tool lets you estimate the balance of your accrued leave for a future date.
