Edit Time Punches

Access this page using Manager>Edit Time Punches.

Use this page to edit open employee time punches if you are a manager and you have Manager permissions specified for your employee ID in the HR Management module.

An open employee time punch is a time punch where an employee has not specified a clock out time. Time punches only display in the Edit Time Punches page if an employee used a Punch Clock Time Entry page to enter time, and the employee has not clocked out for the day. Note: If you do not see the Manager>Edit Time Punches option in EWS, you do not have Manager timesheet permissions specified for your employee ID in the HR Management module. Only employee IDs that have Manager timesheet permissions specified in the HR Management module can edit time punches using EWS. Fields 

Employee ID: The system displays the employee ID for the employee. Managers cannot edit this field. The employee ID for an employee is specified in the HR Management module. For more information about specifying employee IDs, see the HR Management module online help.

Name: The system displays the name of the employee who entered time. Managers cannot edit this field.

Work Date: The system displays the date the employee entered time. Managers cannot edit this field.

Time In: The system displays the date and time the employee clocked in for the day. Managers can edit this field.

Break 1 Out: The system displays the date and time the employee clocked out for their first break of the day. Managers can edit this field.

Break 1 In: The system displays the date and time the employee clocked back in from their first break of the day. Managers can edit this field.

Lunch Out: The system displays the time the employee clocked out for lunch. Managers can edit this field.

Lunch In: The system displays the time the employee clocked in when returning from lunch. Managers can edit this field.

Break 2 Out: The system displays the date and time the employee clocked out for their second break of the day. Managers can edit this field.

Break 2 In: The system displays the date and time the employee clocked back in from their second break of the day. Managers can edit this field.

Time Out: The system displays the date and time the employee clocked out for the day. Managers can edit this field.

Clock Out: Click the button in this field when you finish editing the employee time punch. When you click this button, EWS saves your time punch edits, closes the time punch, which means the time punch is no longer open or active, and no longer displays the time punch in the Edit Time Punch page. If you later want to make additional edits to a closed employee time punch, you can do so using the Approve Timesheets page. Status: The system displays the employee's current status. For example, managers can see if an employee is currently clocked in, clocked out, out to lunch, or back from lunch. Managers cannot edit this field.

Buttons 

Save: Click this button to save any edits you made to employee time punches.
