Connection Info Tab
The Connection Info tab lets the EWS Settings connect to the data source used by the EWS system. The IT system administrator must complete the information in this tab before configuring the system settings.
Fields
MIP SQL Server: The name of the SQL Server used by MIP Fund Accounting.
SQL User: Enter the system administrator user ID that you received from MIP.
SQL Password: Enter the password for the system administrator user ID that you received from MIP.
MIP Database: The SQL Server database name that contains the MIP Fund Accounting data source used by EWS.
EWS Web Config: The location of the EWS Web.Config file on the web server. The default location is <installation path>\inetpub\wwwroot\ews\Web.Config.
Update Status: This informational field shows the current status of the EWS connection to MIP Fund Accounting and prompts you to update the database or scripts if necessary.
Buttons
Connect: Click Connect to open the SQL Server connection for the EWS Settings. This connection is required to continue setting up the EWS system configuration.
Update Scripts: Click this button to update EWS system maintenance scripts. EWS system maintenance scripts can be run when needed to update an EWS installation, such as when a new version of the product releases or when database fields need to be updated. For more information about available EWS scripts and when to run them, talk to your Professional Services representative or the person responsible for maintaining your company's EWS installation.
Save: Click this button to save the SQL Connection information.
- The MIP SQL Server is the MIP Fund Accounting server used by the HR Management module.
- The SQL User must exist and have appropriate permissions in SQL Server when you click Connect.
